To operate The Legacy Index, we collect information you provide and some information that's generated automatically when you use the platform.

Information you provide:

• Name and email address when you create an account
• Profile information you choose to add (photo, bio, date of birth)
• Family relationship data and family tree information
• Photos, videos, documents, stories, voice recordings, and other uploads
• Messages and communications within the platform
• Legacy vault content and scheduled releases

Information collected automatically:

• Device type and browser information
• Feature usage and interaction patterns (anonymized)
• Log data such as access times and pages visited

We use your information solely to operate and improve The Legacy Index. Specifically:

• Running the platform and enabling its features
• Organizing your family networks and relationships
• Enabling the sharing permissions you set
• Sending account-related notifications and updates
• Improving platform features using anonymized usage data
• Providing customer support when you reach out

The Legacy Index does not sell your personal information. Your family memories, photos, stories, and uploads are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

This is one of the most important sections of our privacy policy. Please read it carefully.

Content you share within a family network is visible to the members of that network — and only those members. When you invite someone to your family network, they will be able to see content designated as shared within that network.

Content you mark as private or store in your Legacy Vault is only visible to you and any executors or individuals you explicitly grant access to.

Some profile information — like your name and relationship label — may appear to other members of a shared family network so people can identify who you are within the family.

You are always in control of what you share and with whom. The Legacy Index gives you granular visibility settings for a reason.

The Legacy Index uses an invitation-based access model. This means your family spaces are not publicly discoverable. Someone can only join your family network if you invite them, share a join link with them, or they request to join and you approve.

When you send an email invitation, we use the recipient's email address to deliver the invitation. We do not add them to any mailing list or contact them beyond the invitation unless they create an account.

Invite links and join codes are controlled by you. You can revoke them at any time from your network settings.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to understand how The Legacy Index is being used so we can improve it.

Analytics data is anonymized and used only to understand which features are useful and where we can make the platform better. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

You can adjust cookie preferences in your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality such as staying logged in.

We take the security of your family's data seriously. The Legacy Index uses industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and secure storage infrastructure.

Access to your personal data within our team is strictly limited to what's necessary to operate and support the platform. We do not have employees casually browsing user content.

While we maintain strong security practices, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access.

The Legacy Index is designed for family use, and families include children. Parents and guardians are responsible for content they upload involving minors, including photos, videos, and memorial content.

The Legacy Index does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Accounts must be created by adults. Family content involving children can be uploaded by a parent or guardian who holds the account.

If you believe a child's information has been collected without parental consent, please contact us at support@timebridge.com.

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data. You can submit a deletion request via our Account Deletion page.

When you request deletion, we will process your request within a reasonable timeframe — typically within 30 days. Some data may be retained in secure backups for a limited period before being fully purged. We will confirm when deletion is complete.

Note that content you have shared with other family members within a network may persist in their accounts unless they also choose to delete it.

The Legacy Index is building toward AI-assisted legacy features — tools that may help with organizing memories, generating storytelling prompts, tagging photos, and preserving your family's narrative across generations.

When these features are introduced, we will be transparent about exactly how they work and what data they use. Our commitment remains the same: you own your content, AI tools serve you, and your personal family memories will never be used to train external AI models or sold to third parties.

We will update this Privacy Policy before introducing any AI features that materially affect how your data is used.
